In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. Let’s look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.
Abby: Carol Speed, William Marshall, Austin Stoker, and Juanita Moore star. This is a dark film dealing with exorcism. In that sense this film is similar to The Exorcist. Abby is the wife of a minister and the daughter in law of another man of the cloth. She is possessed by the devil. (1974 drama)
The Passion Of Christ: This movie deals with the day of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Betray by Judas he has been arrested, and taken to the leaders of Pharisees. It is the Roman Governor Pilate who ultimately decides his fate. He gives the Jews one last chance to choose to save Jesus, instead they choose to free Barrabas, a true criminal, and Jesus will now be crucified.
Day of the Outlaw: Stark Western melodrama of outlaw Ives and clique taking over secluded Western town. Cast includes Robert Ryan, Burl Ives, Tina Louise, Alan Marshal, Nehemiah Persoff, and Elisha Chef. (91 minutes, 1959)
The Heartbreak Kid: Eligible San Francisco bachelor Stiller manages to meet attractive blonde fantasy gal Akerman and in no time flat gets wedded. Only on their honeymoon to Mexico does he find that she’s the newlywed from hell when striking up a hot relation with an American tourist Monaghan staying at the identical hotel. Cast includes Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly, Ben Stiller, Malin Akerman, Michelle Monaghan, Polly Holliday, and Leslie Easterbrook, Eva Longoria. (116 minutes, 2007)
Daylight: Robbers felling the scene of a crime crash their getaway car into a truck in front of one of the main tunnels connecting Manhattan and New Jersey. Unfortunately this truck is filled with explosives and the explosion traps everyone inside the tunnel. The underwater tunnel is also weakened by the blast and could fill with water very quickly. Emergency Medicals Services Chief Kit Latura will try to go into the tunnel and rescue those trapped.
Lust for a Vampire: Carmilla, the seductress from The Vampire Lovers, preys on scholars at a gals’ school. Third-rate Mallet terror anemically generated. Cast includes. Ralph Bates, Yutte Stensgaard, Barbara Jefford, Michael Johnson, Suzanna Leigh, Mike Raven, and Christopher Neame (95 minutes, 1971)
Hooper: Lighthearted check out aging ace Hollywood stunt gentleman Reynolds, his freewheeling way of life, and the youthful tyro who gets him to try the largest stunt of all. Cast includes Burt Reynolds, Jan-Michael Vincent, Sally Territory, Brian Keith, John Marley, James Best, Adam West, and Robert Klein. (100 minutes, 1978)
8 Below: Worth seeing as this is Stan Kubrick’s very last film. Cast includes Paul Stroller, Bruce Greenwood, Moon Bloodgood, Jason Biggs, Gerard Plunkett, August Schellenherg, and Wendy Crewson. (120 minutes, 2006)
Ruby: Difficult structure has long-dead gangster’s soul obtaining deaf-mute gal, sending her on a slaughtering bender at drive-in show which practices in terror films run by ex-clique members. A few minutes, joke and atrocious, stand out in commonly choppy paranormal thriller. The rendition is credited to a pseudonymous controller Allen Smithee. Cast includes Reaper Laurie, Stuart Whitman, Roger Davis, Janit Baldwin, Crystin Sinclaire, and Paul Kent. (84 minutes, 1977)
