Quiz Show: This tells the true story of the 1958 game show called 21. Charles Van Doren had become a national folk hero. He had appeared on the cover of Time, and Life magazines. People would watch the show in amazement, as the Columbia University English instructor would answer the most amazing and obscure questions. Then they got caught. The whole thing was a scam. Investigator Richard Goodwin unearthed all the facts, and exposed the deception. America was left in shock.
Waterworld: Global warming has taken hold of the planet. Anyone who has survived lives afloat. Pirates roam the seas, taking what they want from the floating cities. There is one man who carries hope for the future, for he has evolved.
I Am Legend: Scientist Robert Neville (Will Smith) is the only man living in New York City who isn’t infected. Everyone infected has become a mutated viscous creature. The sunlight is Robert’s only safety, as he roams the city, and runs experiments at his lab, hoping to cure everyone of the infection. How long can he survive?
Resident Evil: Extinction: The undead press on, growing in numbers, as the number of unaffected humans dwindles. Alice had been captured, and subjected to genetic tests by the Umbrella Corporation. She escapes, and now finds she has super human skills. She will need to use every thing at her disposal if any normal humans hope to survive.
Paycheck: Pc whiz Affleck makes large bucks by frequently answering top-secret complications for businesses, then having his memory of the whole operation deleted. However while he jumps on his largest job yet, for a mammoth business run by Eckhart, objects don’t go as prepared. As Affleck desires reprisal and retorts after having 3 years’ worth of his memory brushed out, the tale line grows more and more bizarre. Cast includes Ben Affleck, Uma Thurman, Aaron Eckhart, Paul Giamatti, Colin Feore, Joe Morton, and Michael Chamber. (119 minutes, 2003)
Shadow Conspiracy: Off-white Home whiz baby Sheen comprehends of a wicked conspiracy in the highest levels of the government, although eventually gets to be a target of the malevolent slaughterer himself. Hurtfully evident, wearily derivative, and motivated by absurd chance happenings. Cast includes Charlie Sheen, Donald Sutherland, Linda Hamilton, Stephen Lang, Ben Gazzara, Paul Gleason, and Nickel Fuller. (103 minutes, 1997)
The Great Gildersleeve: First of succession based on renowned stereo personality Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve is reasonably entertaining hogwash, as Gildy enters local affairs of state and stays away from spinster Territory. Cast includes Harold Peary, Nancy Bars, Freddie Mercer, Mary Territory, Jane Darwell, and Thurston Chamber. (62 minutes, 1943)
