Suddenly: Sinatra leads trio of paid assassins who take over home in tiny town where the President can pass on his way to a fishing trip. White knuckle thriller, written by Richard Sale, with Sinatra phenomenal in completely despicable role; sleep of cast comparably fine. “Abruptly,” incidentally, is the name of the town. This was additionally shown in a pc-colored rendition version. Cast includes Lewis Allen, Blunt Sinatra, Sterling Hayden, James Gleason, Nancy Bars, Willis Bouchey, Kim Charney, Paul Frees, Christopher Shady, and Charles Smith. (77 minutes, 1954)

Bruce Almighty: Bruce Nolen wants more. He feels he deserves to be the next anchorman at the TV news station where he works as a human interest reported. When it is announced that he won’t get the job, he loses it. When his prayers aren’t answered, he rages against God, who appears, and gives him an incredible offer, “if you think my job is so easy, then you do it”. Let’s see how Bruce does in his role as God.

Stacy’s Knights: Millian is Basic Jane hit with blackjack betting fever who initiates a team of sharpies to crack a casino after her youthful mentor Costner is slaughtered by the casino’s goons. Boring B-film offers observation into the planet of virtuoso wagering and characteristics a flavorful behavior by Costner in his first leading role. Wilson and screenwriter Michael Blake later re-teamed with Costner to make Dances With Wolves. Cast includes Andra Millian, Kevin Costner, Eve Lilith, Mike Reynolds, Garth Howard, and Ed Semenza. (95 minutes, 1983)

Casino: Sam Rothstein has worked his way through the mob ranks and now runs the casino that his Chicago outfit owns. When mob strong arm Nicky Santoro arrives in town, Sam pleads with him to keep a low profile. Business is good, and his services aren’t really needed. Nicky just can’t help himself, and he starts banging heads. Now Sam’s peace world gets turned completely upside down.

The Prestige: The setting is the early 1900’s in London. Magicians are of high status in the entertainment industry. Robert Angler and Alfred Borden, once partners on stage, are now in an intense battle to be the best magician in London. They will go to any means to outdo the other.

Murph the Surf: Here is an all too typical plot, about a cop framed for killings by a psychopathic ex-con. He is sent to jail, only to find that the psycho is a lady goddess. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Kathleen Wilhoite, Carrie Snodgress, Robert F. Lyons, Richard Romanus, Janet MacLacWan, and Lawrence Tierney. (100 minutes, 1986)

Honey I Blew Up The Kids: Wayne Szalinski is a suburban family man, who invents things. His latest gadget makes thing bigger. He accidentally zaps his kids, and they become huge. Now he must figure out how to return them to their normal size.

Kill Bill Vol. 1: A dress rehearsal for a wedding is interrupted, and everyone is brutally slaughtered. Bill and the Vipers think they have accomplished what they intended, to kill the Black Mamba, also known as the bride. She somehow survives, but is left in a coma. Four years latter she awakes. Now she has only one thought in mind, kill them all. One by one she hunts down and kills all that were involved in that ugly night.
