Backstreet Boys This Is Us They Are Back And Better Than Ever
August 20th, 2009 by Jason Thomas, under Movies. No Comments
In 1993, the Backstreet Boys were considered to be just another boy bad that Lou Pearlman put together. The group consisted of five talented singers, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell. Although Kevin Richardson has decided to opt out of this album, to start up a family, his band members are still foreseeing a comeback somewhere in this singers future.
The Backstreet Boys (or should we say men) have a new album called This Is Us, which is set for European release on October 5th on RCA Records and for release in the US on October 6th on Jive Records. Said to be perhaps their best album ever this their seventh studio album and their second since losing band member Kevin Richardson, who is on a hiatus to begin a family shows great promise.
Trying to regain some of their lost momentum since their incredible Millennium album hit the charts in 1999 with hits like I Want It That Way and All I Have To Give, they are once again collaborating with producer Max Martin who was responsible for the I Want it That Way hit track.
Not only have they collaborated with Max Martin, on this album, but they also teamed with producer, songwriter Red One. Red One has successfully assisted Lady Gaga with hit singles such as “Poker Face” and “Just Dance”, therefore the Backstreet Boys felt that it would be a great plus to have her collaborate on their album, and had her produce the albums lead track, “Straight Through My Heart”.
Over the last few years The Backstreet Boys have had many highs and lows. They all had their attempts at solo albums yet nothing was ever the same as when they were together as the all American boy band. It is said that “This Is Us” is the album that will get them back on the charts. I can hardly wait!

He’s Just Not That Into You DVD – Not Just a Chick Flick
July 7th, 2009 by Jason Thomas, under Movies. No Comments
The preview comes on, “He’s Just Not That Into You” right away, a men will turn to his wife or girlfriend and exclaim, “Chick Flick’”! Okay, yes it is a story about relationships, and the unspoken words of dating and brake up and the typical male afraid of commitment. however, it is also full of laughter, truth and a cast of big names that will have both the ladies and the males enjoying ever minute of this film.
This movie contains some top actors in the field, including Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, and Drew Barrymore, who honestly is an amazing actress. She looks really good in this movie, a little more mature looking, but always with that sweet na-vet that gives her that little girl like charm. Her line about getting rejected in 7 different technologies is just hilarious, as with things changing so much in the dating scene, it is truly possible to be rejected in many different ways, these days.
There was an underlying understanding to relationships, under all the humor. Each humorous, awkward or painful situation was dealt with compassionately. The actors did a great job at getting you to feel for them and relate to their pains and happiness, as if it were your own.
The film is based on a book, by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. The adaptation of the book onto the big screen was a great way to allow people to laugh at their dating follies, or to just enjoy a romantic comedy that their husbands or boyfriends will not complain about afterwards.
This is a movie that once you will see it, you will watch it over and over again. I have already watched it with my husband, my sister, my mother, myself and a group of friends. Each time I seem to laugh more and more as I catch more and more funny things that they say, do, or faces they make.
Black Eyed Peas The E.N.D. CD:Just The Beginning
July 7th, 2009 by Jason Thomas, under Music. No Comments
The fifth album from the Blacked Eyed Peas has just been released, to mixed reviews. Whether it be that some fans have grown out of the BEP’s or maybe it is that they prefer to listen to Fergie on her own, but there are a few who are disappointed with the album. I personally feel that it is some of their best collaborative work to date.
The new album brings us a familiar sound, with new dance tracks. Although there is a similarity in the sound you will not be disappointed as the lyrics can range from moving beats to just plain bizarre.
Their latest album, entitled The E.N.D. (which stands for Energy Never Dies) is full of fifteen tracks from hip hop to booty shaking. It provides more of a party tune then previous albums and will have everyone on the dance floors, even those who do not like to dance.
Many of the tracks are sure to be top 40 hits, just in time for the wild parties of the summer. You will be sure to hear them on the beaches, in the car next to you, or coming from the home stereo system of your neighbors. I am sure by now everyone has heard the single Boom Boom Pow, from this album, this is just a preview to this incredible album.
Black Eyes Peas are a group full of energy and enthusiasm that takes fans into their music and along for the ride. The influence from music of the past and present is seen in the songs and is what keeps the Black Eyed Peas fresh and the fans wanting more. The E.N.D. has everything the a true BEEPs fan would expect and then some!
