September 4th, 2009 by Mark Parsons, under Movies. No Comments

There are many websites on the Internet which enables its visitors to watch free movies online. You should be aware that some of these sites which offer access to movies and television shows through online streaming are fraudulent. Most malicious websites use this technique to entice users to visit and browse their site for marketing purposes. These websites often contain or launch annoying advertisements and Ad Sense widgets. Once you type a keyword on the provided search bar, the malicious scripts on these websites start to creep on your computer without your knowledge.

The free movies we see on these advertising websites are often those which are released in the public. These materials are easily pirated because their copyrights are not renewed. Recent full-length movie releases are rarely seen in the pool of free movies since most of these materials are sold commercially. There are some companies which offer online copies of these copyrighted movies for a small fee along with membership charges and shipping or mailing fee. Thus if you encounter a free movie which has been currently released on theatres, most likely it has been illegally produced.

There are certain websites that offer free movie downloads such as ibiblio.org and archive.org. Most movies displayed on these websites are within the public domain. The full-length movies made on the past such as those dated back 1930s and 1940s (e.g. The Three Stooges) are likely to appear on the list of movies on these websites. Downloading these movies is accepted as legal since the copyright of the movie has already expired.

Usable software to view movies from a remote system is the VNC Remote PC access program. It can be used to remotely access movies on the network. This application is available for download on the www.realvnc.com website.

These websites containing movie links resemble directory sites. The index used by these websites contains categorized listings of movie links which redirects the user’s web browser to different movie sites which hosts the free movies. Most movies linked to these websites are located on free video sites such as YouTube, Stage6 and Veoh. Just make sure to check the website’s updates regularly because most movies uploaded from these web hosts do not remain on their database for a long time. There are some chances that some movies are already blocked due to copyright issues.

The current advances on the technology of home entertainment gives way to more better and more powerful tools which may provide better and enhance way of entertaining yourself in the comfort of your home. Nothing beats a free movie or music download and a highly advanced entertainment system.
