No blues scale
This book did a much better job of explaining music theory than David Harp’s Music Theory Made Easy.

A Distilled Text on the Study of Music Theory
Like chemistry or any other science, music theory is complicated but not impossible. For most, the chapters in the book will require more than one read.

“Idiots” vs “Dummies”
I like this book, and I think it does a pretty good job of explaining music theory, but it is lacking in some areas.

The best on the subject!!
I also was a little concerned about the title since i don’t consider my self as an “idiot” in music, but the autor gives you the information so easy to understand and so complete…

Pretty Comprehensive
I’m an amateur trumpet player just used to reading from sheet music. I knew absolutely nothing about modes, chords, progression, or transposition.
