Xbox 360 Games and the Cheats

Many people would agree that when you are playing a game on the Xbox 360 and you hit a point where you are stuck and cannot go further, resorting to cheats is not the best way out. This is the quickest and easiest way out of any situation and most of the time it is not the best. ‘You will only be fooling yourself’ is the attitude of many people who are against cheating in games.

You need to remember that many games are specifically designed in such a way so as to have you at wits end, such as the puzzles you come across in the Tomb Raider games. Of course those of us who are Tomb Raider fans won’t find the puzzles to be that difficult, or at least, we won’t find them so difficult that we have to use cheats.

Obviously, a vast amount of gamers simply hate the idea of getting stuck in the middle of a game. Instead, they simply want to complete the game even if it means using cheats. However, using a cheat to complete the level on your behalf takes all the fun out of the game and makes it rather pointless.

It takes a serious gamer to admit that cheating in games is not the right thing to do. You pay lots of money for the game to begin with, and if you are supposed to sit for three hours trying to figure out how to get past a certain point in the game, then that is how it is supposed to be.

Admittedly, there are certain games which are exceptionally difficult but they’ve been made that way for a reason. In fact, that’s exactly why the manufacturers employ game testers, in that they can establish whether or not there are any parts of a game which are impossible to get past.

Now, if the game testers can get through a game then there’s no reason why you can’t. It’s just a matter of some games being more difficult than others. Of course you will find puzzle games difficult to get through if you spend most of your time immersing yourself in action games but even so, resorting to cheats is not going to solve anything.

Many people see cheating in a video game the same as cheating in real life. You should refrain from doing this in video games and rather become an honest player. If you find yourself stuck in a videogame, look around and pay attention to your surroundings. What you need is there. People are not ganging up on you and doing this to you deliberately. You need to think some more.

If you’ve always relied on cheats to get through a game, then the next time you play a new game you should really try to get through without using cheats. Firstly, you won’t end up fooling yourself, and secondly, you’ll be playing the game the way it should be played, but above all, you’ll also end up enjoying it a lot more.
